So here’s the deal. That’s us, Ryan 24, Ben 23. We speak two languages between us, we’re broke (going in to this) and yet somehow we’re convinced that if we don’t quit our jobs right now and flee to Europe we’ll be stuck in the doldrums of our mid-to-early twenties with no chance of escape for years.
Our travel experience is primarily limited to episodes of Macgyver, cushy family vacations, and Carmen Sandiego. We’ve never stayed in a motel, let alone a hostel and that said, we’re actually quasi-confident about navigating continental Europe in less than 2 months with little more than a laptop and decent looks.
You’ll quickly appreciate that it’s not our intention to educate you on the history and beauty of Europe, but rather to detail the debauchery of two friends trying to survive the trip of their lifetime and hopefully when all is said and done you’ll realize that your sub $500 bank account and dead end job are perfectly suited for a life changing bender of your own.
It looks very likely that I will be in Europe from June 3rd until whenever I decide to leave. Do you know what your plans are during the time. I will be in Vienna from the 3rd to the 14th, but can travel afterwards. Let me know if you have any clue.
